Well it looks like Country has new flavor Slow Jam R & B. The Shindellas will be the first R & B Band to perform at the CMT Awards. Kind of reminds of TLC 90’s music with lyric you can pick up on the first listen.
RISING FEMALE BAND THE SHINDELLAS HEATS UP THE SUMMER WITH SENSUAL ‘90S INSPIRED SLOW JAM
It’s not only the temperature that is rising this Summer. It is hot, hot, hot, and The Shindellas ( (Tamara Chauniece, Kasi Jones, and Stacy Johnson) are not shy about bringing considerably more heat with the release of their ’90s inspired new single “Volcano Love.” Written and produced by multi-Grammy, hit-making songwriting/production duo Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly of Louis York, “Volcano Love” is the quintessential slow jam with its sensual vocals. Reminiscent of the music era that set a stage for popular songs by central feminists defining the parameters for their feelings and values in ways that are still playing out in today’s songs. “Volcano Love” emerges as one of those songs that will surely top your Summer Slow Jam Playlist!
“Volcano Love” is the follow-up to their widely popular single “Money” (click here) that garnered over 2M views on YouTube. Refinery29 described the single as “Glam, energy, and talent — The Shindellas have it all, and “Money” is undeniable proof of their star power.” Both singles are featured on their debut album Hits That Stick Like Grits out later this year.
While making great music, The Shindellas also made history as the first female R&B band to perform at the 2021 CMT Awards (click here). The trio graced the stage beside Lady A, Carly Pearce, and Lindsay Ell as they opened the show performing “Like A Lady” alongside an all-female band that featured rising country star Catie Offerman on fiddle, Loving Mary member Rebecca Lynn Howard on bass, drummer Elizabeth Chan and guitarist Juno.
This is just the beginning for The Shindellas as there’s more to come in their bright future. Stay tuned!
